Welcome

The mission of the Minnesota Masonic Historical Society and Museum shall be the collection, preservation and dissemination of knowledge about the history of Freemasonry and its concordant, antecedent, descendent, or derivative organizations and activities, and to relate that history to that of the state of Minnesota.

Chairman: Tom Hendrickson

 Curator: David W. Nystuen

The Museum

The museum is prominently located next to the general store and library in Heritage Hall at the Minnesota Masonic Home in Bloomington. It is open from 9:00am until 6:00pm seven days a week for self-guided tours. On exhibit are a variety of items related to Masonic and fraternal organizations in Minnesota and elsewhere. A sampling of items includes costumes, historic photographs, ceramics, decorative arts, furniture, and commemoratives. Of particular interest is the Don Leary Collection of Masonic ceramics dating from the late 1700s and early 1800s. Exhibits are changed periodically.
